North Alabama’s leading MLS partners with SourceRE to centralize data operations, modernize vendor distribution, and establish true data independence.
HUNTSVILLE, AL — June 22, 2026 — ValleyMLS today announced a strategic partnership with SourceRE to establish independent control over its data infrastructure. ValleyMLS will implement SourceRE’s MLS Data Exchange (MDX) framework and list its data in the SourceRE Data Marketplace, creating a unified foundation for data sovereignty, governed distribution, and long-term operational independence.
By deploying the MDX, ValleyMLS will establish an independent, RESO-aligned database that sits alongside its existing vendor systems, consolidating fragmented data operations into a single, centralized source of truth. ValleyMLS will be able to support multiple vendor relationships simultaneously and pursue partnerships and data-sharing initiatives. Agents and brokers retain access to MLS data from their preferred front-end system, with full view, edit, and write capabilities.
The partnership also enables ValleyMLS to benefit from SourceRE’s broader security infrastructure, including proprietary Data Dye forensic tracking technology, which embeds invisible identifiers into distributed listing data to detect and document unauthorized use.
“Data sovereignty has been a priority for ValleyMLS, and this partnership with SourceRE puts us in a position to act on it,” said Rhonda Ricketts, Director of MLS Operations. “The goal is building an independent data infrastructure that we control and modernize how we distribute and license that data to our vendor partners. These tools give us the visibility and authority over our data that we’ve been working toward.”
“ValleyMLS is making the kind of infrastructure investment that positions an MLS as ready for the future wave of technology” said Andrew Coca, CEO at SourceRE. “SourceRE data infrastructure will provide the tools they need to demonstrate value, gain leverage, and achieve complete data sovereignty.”
Additionally, via the SourceRE Data Marketplace, ValleyMLS vendors will gain streamlined onboarding and RESO-certified API access, while ValleyMLS retains full authority over who receives its data, under what terms, and at what cost.
