Update from Tax Assessor’s Office

Madison County Tax Assessor Cliff Mann provided the following updates on improvements and changes coming to the office.

Cliff urges HAAR members to call with any questions, 256-532-3350, and to remind your buyers to claim their homestead.

  • Beginning October 1, 2020 our Dreamaps/SDS mapping software will be changing to KCS system. It will be the same system currently being used by our surrounding counties (with some slight modifications), so you can go to their sites and get a look at it. We will be working with HAAR to schedule some training sessions in October as well.
  • In the next few weeks we will also be converting to Assurance (a new data software) to replace the current Delta system. You may be directed to this site to print out a more detailed property assessment /report. The Tax Collector will be using this software to collect taxes as well this October.
  • The Meridianville satellite office will not be open this year. You can still come to Parkway Place Mall, Madison Taxpayer Service Center or the 5th floor of the Courthouse.
  • Hopefully sometime in January, we will be moving into the new Revenue Building on the corner of North Parkway and Oakwood Avenue. We will be on the second floor. We will be consolidating our historical records from the library and other storage locations into one large archives room on the second floor.
