Members of the NAREB – Huntsville executive committee attended meetings this week in Washington DC. The meetings were part of the National Association of Real Estate Brokers (Realtists) Policy Conference. Meetings included a discussion on HUD with Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, Dr. Ben Carson, as well as meetings on meeting the goal of 2 million black homeowners. 2016 HAAR Past President Kathy Mann serves on the NAREB national board of directors, April Parker serves as chair of the Huntsville NAREB, and Katrina Keir is a member of the NAREB Huntsville Executive Committee. All were present in DC. The policy conference is “an effort to create/improve housing opportunities for minorities and underserved communities” according to Mann.
