Huntsville Area Association of REALTORS Hosts Monthly Membership Luncheon

On Thursday, February 8, 2018, The Huntsville Area Association of REALTORS® (HAAR) held their monthly membership luncheon. Each month, HAAR hosts a member luncheon that focuses on industry updates, local issues, special reports and commentary about the housing market and the practice of real estate.

The HAAR membership luncheon included the induction of 65 of the newest REALTOR® members. An award for REALTOR® Emeritus was also given. REALTOR® Emeritus is a status achieved by those REALTORS® who have served this industry for 40+ years. Today, we honor Jimmie Adams, Tommy Adams, BJ Boyanton, Peggy Richard & Steve Cawthon for their membership in this elite club.

HAAR also recognized REALTOR® members who had received their GRI designation. The Graduate REALTOR Institute (GRI) is a designation that has many requirements and is held by less than 15% of REALTORS. There are 60 hours of real estate instruction including topics as Professionalism, Accountability & Development, Contracts, Working with Buyers, Working with Sellers and Real Estate Technology. The latest REALTORS® to receive this designation are Michael Rosenblum, Ainsley Bowen, Shannon Hoff, Roy Lane, Jr., and Lee Gavvitt.

Josh McFall, Chief Executive Officer of the Huntsville Area Association of Realtors® was officially honored by the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® with the REALTOR® association Certified Executive (RCE) designation, which recognizes exceptional efforts made by the REALTOR®  association executives. The RCE designation exemplifies goal-oriented AEs with drive, experience and commitment to professional growth. Candidates earn the designation by accumulating points through an experience and education based application form and a comprehensive written exam.
