As you are aware, ValleyMLS.com recently suspended its partnership with Homesnap in order to further investigate improper use of your data by Homesnap’s parent company. CLICK HERE FOR THAT ORIGINAL ANNOUNCEMENT.
Today we are pleased to announce that, after Homesnap agreed to every term proposed by ValleyMLS.com to rectify the unauthorized data share, our Board of Directors voted to approve a new 2-year agreement with Homesnap Pro.
At ValleyMLS.com, we are committed to bringing you the latest technology that makes your life easier and boosts your bottom line – all while protecting your company’s valuable data.Â
HOW VALLEYMLS IS PROTECTING YOUR DATA:
If MLS is made aware of copyright infringement in the data provided by Homesnap, we must notify Homesnap within 30 days.
If a third party gains unauthorized access to Licensed Pro data, Homesnap must notify MLS within 2 days of becoming aware of incident and will cooperate with MLS at Homesnap expense to prevent or stop such security breach.
ValleyMLS may conduct periodic compliance reviews of Homesnap’s use of the Licensed pro data under this agreement. Homesnap will respond promptly after, but within 72 hours, any compliance inquiry from MLS.
Homesnap agrees to allow ListTrac metrics to be placed on their site. ListTrac metrics allow it to provide weekly metrics on its dashboard. Members can see how many inquiries, views, visitors, etc. per listing has been generated form consumers who use Homesnap.
The term of this agreement will be a 2-year term and will automatically renew for (1) year terms unless a 90 day notice is given.
Fees: Â ValleyMLS does not charge vendors who are providing a service back to the members (i.e., Showingtime, Dotloop, Supra, etc) for a data feed. Unless, otherwise requested, no fees will be charged to Homesnap for providing Active, Contingent/Pending and Sold data (3 yrs) to Homesnap.
