Class Description:
By the end of the course, attendees will be able to identify best practices and client-centered approaches to preventing growing threats to themselves and their clients. Students will be able to identify and discuss with their clients cybercrime, identity theft, and social media hazards that exist during daily business and personal transactions. In addition, students will be able to recognize and discuss the specific rules and professional guidelines that should be used to guide their approach to professional and personal security in order to protect the public. Students will be able to demonstrate cyber security awareness as well as information security awareness and list specific countermeasure strategies. Real Estate Professionals will be able to recount and compare the most up-to-date strategies for better protecting themselves, their families, their firm and most importantly their clients from fraud, identity theft, cybercrime and personal assault, as well as gain an understanding through practical example and case studies of how their personal and social media behaviors can create unsafe, unprofessional, or unethical environments for themselves or their clients.
