On Thursday, August 2, 2018, The Huntsville Area Association of REALTORS® announced the winner of the 2018 REALTOR® of the Year Award. This year’s winner is REALTOR® Kathy Mann of Legend Realty and CK Mann Realty in Madison.
REALTOR® of the Year is a prestigious annual peer award of the Huntsville Area Association of REALTORS® awarded to a REALTOR® who best exemplifies the REALTOR® spirit. The winner is chosen based off of their business accomplishments, community service, and activity in the local, state and national REALTOR® organizations.
Kathy Mann has been a REALTOR® in the Huntsville area for thirteen years. From the beginning of her career she has always been involved in the association and been willing to serve volunteering on numerous committees. Mann has served as an officer and director for HAAR and was HAAR president in 2016. She has also served as the President of the North Alabama CRS and a director for the Alabama Association of REALTORS. Mann holds the Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), the Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR) and the Certified International Property Specialist Designation (CIPS) designations. Mann has also served on the REALTORS® in Action committee, grievance, bylaws, governmental affairs, and nominating and finance committees.
When Mann served as President of HAAR in 2016 her theme was “REALTORS – Helping People, Changing Lives”. This not only describes Mann as a person but as a leader. Serving her association and community has always been the most important thing. Mann feels that it has been a “blessing and an honor to serve in various capacities at our board. I love what I do and the amazing people that I have the pleasure to serve and work with”.
In addition to being a dedicated REALTOR®, Mann has been an active member of the community and her church. Mann has volunteered for the Habitat for Humanity, Jack and Jill of America-Madison County, Crisis Services of North Alabama, and the Downtown Rescue Mission just to name a few. She has also volunteered at the Madison Mission SDA Church on the finance committee, served as church clerk and greeter and also worked with the church youth groups.
Mann’s commitment to the association and her community is the reason why we are proud to have her as our 2018 REALTOR of the Year.
