As part of HAAR’s Strategic Plan Principles, we hope to engage members through leadership opportunities on the association board, ValleyMLS.com board, nonprofit organization boards, community and civic organization boards, and other opportunities. If you have the desire to serve on a board but want more info on what board service means and what is required, then this new class is for you. Developed by local consulting firm “Transcend”, this course begins with the principles of board service, possible barriers to board service, board roles and responsibilities, and will also give you a brief look into the governance of HAAR and ValleyMLS.com. This course will be taught by HAAR CEO Josh McFall and is FREE for members.

Josh holds the Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation from the American Society of Association Executives, the REALTOR® Association Certified Executive (RCE) designation from the National Association of REALTORS®, and is in his 2nd year at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Institute of Organization Management (IOM). Josh will provide you with the knowledge and insight to help you apply your skillset to board service at any organization.
