Special Report from the MLS Board of Directors

  • Unlicensed Assistants –Beginning January 1, 2019 Brokers will be billed $32 for each unlicensed assistant. The unlicensed assistant fee shall be non-refundable and non-transferable. This fee is to cover the MLS technology accessed by the unlicensed assistant.
  • “Office Exclusive Listings” – Exempt Listings – referred to in Rule 1.5 – also called “Office Exclusive Listings” requires any listing where a “Waiver of MLS Addendum” has been submitted, to be entered into the MLS under the Office Exclusive (OE) status. This listing will only be visible to MLS subscribers (REALTORS®) within the Participant’s (Broker’s) office. Days on Market (DOM) will accrue for these listings.
  • MLS Name Change – The North Alabama Multiple Listing Service (NALMLS) name will be dissolved and moving forward the multiple listing service will be known by only the public facing brand name, “ValleyMLS.com”. North Alabama MLS (NALMLS) will be phased out in early 2019.
  • HAAR MLS Caravan Moving to Wednesday in 2019 – Beginning in January 2019, HAAR MLS caravan will move from Fridays to Wednesdays. Breakfast and Caravan Briefing will remain at the same start time 8:30am and tours will continue to be held from 9:00am until approximately 12:00pm.
