Members gathered virtually on Thursday, September 3rd for important industry updates and to hear presentations from NAR and Alabama REALTORS®.
RPAC Fundraising Liaison Ziggy Zicarelli shared two words that he believes have shaped 2020: Pivot and Agility. This year agents, consumers, and industry professionals have had to pivot to changing market demands and health and safety protocols. Zicarelli shared his belief that if we focus on our agility and ability in the face of challenges, we will be able to see the opportunities before us and push forward to success.
Regarding RPAC and advocacy, Zicarelli encouraged members to continue to invest in in our industry – if not financially, then through outreach to fellow REALTORS®.
Throughout the year, the Realtor® Party has continued to fight for homeownership, property rights, and the industry through advocacy in Congress, as well as the state and local level. RPAC has led the way on policies addressing racial injustice in the industry, building safe inclusive communities, and providing grants to rebuild and restore spaces impacted by demonstrations. They’ve further been actively engaged with members of Congress regarding the COVID-19 Stimulus Packages.
Zicarelli left members with a closing quote: “The man on top of the mountain didn’t fall there. It takes work, it takes grit. That’s who you R.”
