The probate court features heavily in the real estate industry in everything from estate planning to title and the transfer of property. This CE class serves to provide Realtors with a better understanding of how the probate court can influence all aspects of the real estate closing.
In this class, we will cover:
– What is probate?
– The basics of title, including deeds, chain of title, and more
– The basics of estate planning, including Wills, selling property held by an estate, testate vs. intestate succession, and more
– How litigation can play into it, including quiet title actions, ejectments, foreclosures, tax liens, tax sales, and more.
