Steve Shelton is Broker, Owner of RE/MAX Tri-State in Northwest Alabama. He has been a REALTOR® since 2006. His enthusiasm for the business of Real Estate and zest for life have kept him actively involved in local and State leadership roles. Steve has served as a State Director Alabama Association of REALTORS®, he was 2013 President of the Shoals Area Association of REALTORS®, 2012 Shoals Area REALTOR® of the Year, 2011 Leadership AAR member, 2012-2013 Leadership Trustee and Sterling “R” & Crystal “R” ARPAC contributor. Steve was the 2015 Northern Region Vice President of the Alabama Association of REALTORS® and is currently a Trustee for the 2017 North Alabama REALTOR® Leadership Program.

Before real estate, Steve was a minister. He spent 25 years serving churches in Alabama and Tennessee. He is married, and he and his wife Elizabeth have two married daughters and are the proud Grandparents of a beautiful little girl, Addison and a handsome little boy, Nathan.  Elizabeth is an elementary school teacher.

Through his business and in his life, Steve brings a message of Balance to those who may be experiencing an unstable market, unstable finances, family life, clients, habits, etc.  Steve reminds us of the principles of life that help keep us balanced, focused, productive, and thriving. Using amusing stories and anecdotes, he weaves the listener’s heart around the values of Constant Integrity, Self-Awareness, Courage, Friendship, Freedom, Joy, Self-Discipline and Home & Family. The purpose of his mission is clear – Steve believes that “we reap what we sow”. Therefore, the only way to have better results in our lives is to plant better seed.

The values and principles he discusses have always been the yardstick by which successful men and women have both defined success and measured their life’s accomplishments.  Steve shows that these traits are often overlooked but not unreachable. His down to earth application of these qualities of life should leave the listener with a renewed sense of hope and purpose.

The following quote from Steve sums it up:

Few things in life are as exciting as helping someone be their best. I love seeing a person choose to put their whole heart to a task. The choice to succeed is just that – a choice. A sign at a lonely crossroad in Canada reads, “Choose your rut carefully – you’ll be in it for the next 100 miles.” What we do today does matter. If we truly want to be different “One Day”, we are going to have to start now. I meet people every day who have a million excuses for why they are the way they are. They blame the world for their attitude, economic status, relationship problems, business failures, and the list can (and does) go on. The answer lies within each of us. Our task is to find it.
